Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which customers may cancel orders placed on https://www.zygrocer.in (hereinafter referred to as “Zygrocer,” “the Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

This policy is framed in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, to ensure transparency and fairness in order cancellations.


2. Cancellation by Customers

Customers may cancel their orders under the following circumstances:

2.1 Cancellation Before Shipment

Eligibility:
Customers may cancel an order anytime before the order is shipped or dispatched from our warehouse.

Once the cancellation is successfully processed, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. No cancellation charges will apply.


2.2 Cancellation After Shipment

Eligibility:
Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be canceled directly. However, customers may refuse delivery at the time of arrival, provided the package is unopened and undamaged.

Process:
Customers must inform Zygrocer within 24 hours of refusing delivery to initiate the cancellation process.

Refund:
Upon successful return and inspection of the product in good condition, a full refund will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.


2.3 Non-Delivery or Delayed Delivery

Eligibility:
If an order is not delivered within the estimated delivery timeline communicated at checkout, and no reasonable justification is provided, customers may request cancellation.

Process:
Customers should contact customer support to raise a delivery concern and request cancellation.

Refund:
If cancellation is approved due to non-delivery or unreasonable delay, a full refund will be processed within 7–10 business days.


2.4 Cancellation Due to Damaged or Defective Products

Eligibility:
Orders may be canceled if the customer receives a damaged, defective, or incorrect product.

Process:

  • Customers must notify Zygrocer within 48 hours of delivery

  • Clear photographic or video evidence must be provided for verification

Refund or Replacement:
After validation, Zygrocer will either:

  • Issue a full refund, or

  • Offer a replacement, subject to product availability


2.5 Cancellation of Prepaid Orders

Eligibility:
For prepaid orders, customers may request cancellation before shipment or refuse delivery after shipment.

Refund:
A full refund will be processed to the original payment method after successful cancellation or confirmed return of the undamaged product. Refund timelines are 7–10 business days.


3. Cancellation by Zygrocer

Zygrocer reserves the right to cancel orders under the following circumstances:

3.1 Out of Stock or Unavailability

If a product is unavailable after order placement, customers will be notified and offered either a full refund or an alternative product.

3.2 Payment Failure

Orders may be canceled if payment fails or cannot be verified. No charges will be applied in such cases.

3.3 Suspicious or Fraudulent Activity

Zygrocer may cancel orders suspected of fraud, misuse, or suspicious activity, including invalid payment methods or abnormal address patterns.

3.4 Inaccurate or Incomplete Information

Orders containing incorrect or insufficient customer information (such as wrong address or missing details) may be canceled after due notification.


4. Refund Method

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards / UPI / Net Banking:
    Refunds credited back to the original source within 7–10 business days (bank timelines may vary).

  • Cash on Delivery (COD):
    Refunds processed via bank transfer. Customers must provide valid bank details.

  • Store Credit / Wallet (if applicable):
    Refunds may be issued as store credit usable for future purchases.


5. Exceptions to Cancellation

The following orders are not eligible for cancellation:

  • Personalized or customized products, once the order is placed

  • Sealed products that have been opened (e.g., consumables, hygiene or health-related items), unless defective or damaged
